About Us

Our approach, methodology and the way we relate to families and children, are all important factors if you are thinking about asking us to work with your child. You are taking a big step and it is essential that you feel comfortable and confident with the professional(s) who will be working with your family.

Whole family approach: We believe that working with the whole family - not just your child in isolation - is the key to outstanding success. Our interventions are designed to address the needs and challenges facing the whole family. This also means that your involvement is a key factor in the progress your child will make and we will work with you throughout the process to feel comfortable and confident in implementing the teaching strategies.

Your child's motivations are at the core of the teaching process. This will help create a willing learner – even with the most unmotivated of learners, there are ways of getting them to want to engage, interact and learn from us. This also means that we will teach you how to interact with your child throughout the entire day and you will have the tools you need to increase interactions at breakfast time, at the weekend and during journeys.

Our role is to transfer the skills, training and knowledge to you as parents, equipping you with the tools your child needs for success. Your commitment and determination to consistently implement the recommendations on a daily basis are crucial. We will be with you every step of the way providing you with the support and encouragement you need to do this. By transferring the knowledge and skills on to you, you will feel empowered to teach your child, to make programming and educational decisions for your child and, ultimately, to be less dependent on professional support in the longer term.

We are passionate about challenging the many preconceptions surrounding the conditions we specialise in. These include autism, ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, behavioural problems, language & communication disorders, acquired brain damage, anxiety disorder, Cerebral Palsy, depression, developmental delay, Down’s Syndrome, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Fragile X Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Rett Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, speech and language problems, Tourette's Syndrome and William’s Syndrome.

Many families we meet have resigned themselves to coping with their child’s condition or struggles. For some this means accepting that their child will always be on medication or will always display challenging behaviour patterns. Hours spent trawling the internet can result in accessing out of date information, which is not scientifically validated.

We disagree passionately with the view that your child will not change or improve. We believe that your child can progress significantly, and have a wealth research and scientific data, as well as our own experience to back this up! Our goal is to give you accurate, scientifically proven and up to date information about how to help your child. Even if your child has been given a formal diagnosis, this is just one aspect of the process of understanding your child’s struggles and finding a way forward. There is hope and we can work together to improve your child and family’s quality of life.

We are a values-driven organisation. The values we hold dear include honesty, transparency, accountability, confidentiality and professional excellence. Our values govern all that we do and all that we are, from our accounting procedures to the way we relate to a family. Your child's success is our number one priority and we keep this in mind each step of the way.
